The Challenge

The DoDIIS Worldwide Conference serves as the premier event for the DIA, bringing together thousands of military, government, and industry leaders to discuss mission-critical IT and intelligence capabilities. The challenge was twofold: the agency needed to maintain a high-level, "Classified-feel" aesthetic that resonated with its sophisticated audience while remaining strictly unclassified for public and industry engagement.

The visual identity had to be powerful enough to dominate a massive conference hall—ranging from grand-scale physical displays to high-impact digital motion graphics—while ensuring the DIA’s core message of "Mission Integration" wasn't lost in the noise of a crowded technology expo.

The Resolution

As the Lead Multimedia Designer, I spearheaded the visual branding and environmental design to transform the convention space into an immersive agency experience for two consecutive years, while supporting another 3 years on the design team. I developed a cohesive visual ecosystem which guided the exhibit graphics, ranging from high-impact motion graphics to large-format physical displays, ensuring every touchpoint resonated with the mission’s technical edge.

By managing the end-to-end design lifecycle—from initial branding exploration to final delivery—I maintained a unified visual narrative across a massive technology expo. The result was a professional, seamless brand presence that successfully communicated the DIA’s technological leadership to a global audience of intelligence stakeholders.
